Way overpriced for what it is. It’s not waterproof and even the large isn’t big enough for full frame mirrorless. Wish I could send it back.
Nice product!
I like the product, however it is not quite wide enough at the opening for my Olympus OM-D EM-2 MkII. This is on me. I measured the length of the camera with the lenses I plan to use and declared victory without considering weather or not the other dimensions were adequate.
Ultimately, I'm keeping it for one use case while ordering the large size for other use cases.
My camera does fit into the regular size pod with an Olympus 14-42mm EZ pancake lens if I put it in sidesways. If I attach the 14-150 mm lens which is 3" long, I can no longer turn it sideways and the width of the camera body exceeds the pod opening by a hair and won't go in. I'm expecting the large size to work better.
Impressively tough and versatile
This pod is a perfect fit for taking my Sony a6400 along on all my adventures. I've only had it about 6 months, but so far it's been fully submerged in fast flowing rivers, scraped against granite and sandstone boulders and slabs, squeezed through tight tangles of bush, and covered in thick mud while attached to the waistband of my climbing pack. Through all that abuse, it's kept my camera perfectly dry, safe, and clean. The only complaint I have is about the supplied carabiners and lanyard. I managed to destroy the carabiners on my first trip with the pod. I've since replaced them with proper wire gate climbing carabiners and all has been greta since then. Once my current pod inevitably succumbs to the abuse of my trips, I won't hesitate to replace it.
Outstanding Quality
Ultralight and fits securely
Large is the exact size of my Nikon Z6 with 24 to 70 f/4 with lens hood on.
Another perfect solution for stowing your camera either in your pack or attached to your chest. Waterproof, durable ASF, hyperlite lite, lol. I don’t want to always take my f stop camera pack into the backcountry. Now I can just take my camera and know it’ll stay safe in any situation. Just another example of hyperlite’s dedication to the pursuit of the absolute best and lightest minimalistic gear for anything mountains and backcountry!
