Description

Steiner’s Micro Reflex Sight or MRS was designed to allow operators to engage targets with both eyes open and enhances peripheral vision and situational awareness. Weighing in at a mere 70 grams, this low profile Reflex Sight is well balanced on virtually any shooting platform, and works well by itself, or as a back-up sight when used in conjunction with a magnified optic. In addition, the MRS features a precise 3-MOA dot reticle, and its illumination can be adjusted manually or automatically.

I'm using the Steiner MRS for hunting. Its size, build quality and handling is excellent. It combines a really tough, rugged design with low weight an compact size. The brightness of the red dot fits all light conditions and can be set automatically (what works fine) and manually. Other than Doctor Sights, Burris Fastfire etc. the MRS' red dot LED is protected against rain, dirt and snow. Nevertheless as any other reflex sights the MRS lenses has to be protected, what can be really hart when active hunting under some weather conditions like rain and snow. That's why I would really appreciate if Steiner would offer a lens protection cap for the MRS!

I especially like the feature that allows the battery to be changed without removing the sight from the base like most other reflex sights.

This sight is of great quality. Easy to use. Red Dot acquisition is excellent for its compact size. The battery placement is a plus. I am using it on a Sig X-5. I appreciate the integrated Picatinny rail mount as it mounts perfectly on my pistol.
