I absolutely LOVE this version of the Lone Peaks!
I go trail running 4-6 times a week and do not want to wear any other shoe! Amazing fit with room for when your feet swell, beautiful colors (unlike the Lone Peak 7s), and my Lone Peaks have lasted hundreds of miles with only small degradations. I bought four pairs before it ran out of stock and would buy more if I could.

would try another style of shoes with more cushion
I love the color and fit. It would be nice to have more cushioning. It saddens me that so few styles have shoes in the original footprint with cushioned soles, not necessarily for running or hiking, but just all day wear and or traveling.

Would not buy again.
Was disappointed after reading all the positive reviews including my daughter's. I developed a pain in the back of my knee after wearing them. Tried a few times and it happened every time. I am grateful for the return policy

5 mile run really hurt my toes
I wear a size 9.5 in the many, many Altra shoes I have worn since 2015, and a 9.5 in this Lone Peak is the right size. A larger size would be much too long. I rotate between about 8 pairs right now, depending on the surface and whether I am running or walking. Up until yesterday I had only walked in them a couple miles each time, and they were fine. Yesterday I ran and walked almost 6 miles on a single track bike trail. At the end my toes were extremely sore and tender, and remain that way today so much so that my Escalantes were uncomfortable to wear for my usual 4 mile run on Saturday morning. A ridge/rough edge can be felt inside the toe box right were your toes are and this rubbed against my toes causing the pain. My other Altras are smooth in this area so I don't know if this is a defective pair or typical for this version.

original foot shape rocks!
This is my second pair of Lone Peaks, my 4th pair of Altras. Would you believe the others were 2's? I originally got the 2's for a mud run; they fit perfectly, broke in easily, and have long since been relegated to basic kicks. After a long period of inactivity, I'm back to training (baby steps), and needed new trail runners. These brought back memories of the first few times wearing the 2's. Comfy, just the right cushioning, zero drop, and the big toe box. Did I mention the big toe box?

Love my Altras
Love my Altras. I have six pairs. And I love them all. Great fit. Awesome colors. Soooo comfy. I wear the standard size ones. I had a stress fracture last year and foot Dr complimented me on my good choice of shoes. Will be buying more!

Best fitting foot shaped shoe available!
I have a wide foot and hammer toe so the generous width of shoe and toebox is excellent. I tried another brand of "wide toe box" shoes and they were not! Altra Lone Peak has the best foot shapped shoe available. This is my 2nd purchase of this same shoe and just love them. The cute "bear paw" print on the sole is fun when people notice it too!

Foottastic sneaker
I will never buy another sneaker ever again! I have them on in bed because they are so darn comfortable that I don't want to take them off. I hate shoes. They are all horrible EXCEPT yours

These DO have the original wide toe box
I bought the lone peak 6 in a blue last summer, and was THRILLED to find this Altra shoe with the very comfortable and needed wide toe box (due to my bunions) My last several pairs (TMPs) were way too narrow for me. Given the way styles change from year to year, I was excited to find this line peak 6 in my size, in case the LP 7 is too narrow. But I don't know why they called the color red. They are more like burnt orange. Doesn't matter. Altra, please keep offering more styles with the wide toe box. I know many people who buy Altras because of that!

Very comfy!
I bought these on a whim to do some light walking/hiking. I wore them for 8 hours while shopping just to see how my feet would hold up and was pleasantly surprised. They have nice cushion and plenty of toe room. I've seen reviews saying they don't hold up to wear and tear. If they do hold up, I'll definitely purchase this brand again.
