You can clean your bladder with warm soapy water, either with a cleaning kit or by hand. You can let the unit soak for a bit, then slosh the water around in the tube and bladder and rinse. Also you can use a little bit of lemon water during the rinse process which will leave no after taste when using the next time. Hang the bladder and hose up to air dry.

I am a 5 ft 3 inch female and find this hydration pack to be a perfect buy for the price for day hikes. It fits me so comfortably, sitting just right on my back with no backache causing sag. I forget I even have it on. It has good storage for a southern/generally warm weather hike location with room for a sandwich, trail mix,  energy chews, hat, fleece pullover, 2 additional water bottles plus my Go Girl and TP. Perfect. I love it. Only mod made was to add red plush cushions to straps, of the type sold on Amazon as seatbelt cushions to totally customize this great bag.

Worth the purchase than amazon i must say. Comes in handy in all purpose. It will get wet though. I froze the pouch over night in a family freeze. Lol so not much space .. anyways 14 hours later from the freezer its still solid frozen 6 hours later even coming from out of the delaware river. Very much impressed. Left or right hand doesnt matter Ozark Trail Finley got us covered, they just need you to make the purchase to make it feel secured for the both of us happy ones.

The backpack part is great but the water bladder leaked after first time using .

I was so excited to receive it because, I have always liked products form Ozark Trail but to my disappointment, the threads/sewing are already exposed just with hydration pack and may another pound of stuff.
