Description

Vortex took the successful Spitfire Prism Scope, and redesigned it with a streamlined construction for reduced weight and lower profile. Designed with AR-platforms in mind, the Vortex Spitfire HD Gen II comes equipped with an advanced AR-BDC4 illuminated reticle with a 1 MOA center dot in the middle of an 18.85 MOA open circle for incredibly fast target acquisition. Directly below are four BDC subtensions allowing for accurate shooting at ranges up to 650 yards. The reticle has 12 illumination settings, 2 of which are night vision compatible. The reticle itself has been etched into the glass, allowing for the Spitfire Gen II to continue to function without illumination.

The first one I got had stripped screws. I'm not sure what happened there, whether someone stripped the screws, returned it, and it got resold to me or if it was a dud from the factory. However, EuroOptic customer service was fantastic and replaced it with a working sight within 2 days of me shipping it back. They also emailed me a prepaid label so all I had to do was ship it back and they took care of the rest. The second sight they sent me worked perfectly. The glass is very clear. My only gripe is that the reticle is very small, but I have good eyes. If your eyes aren't great, you may want a different optic. The illumination is very good, and the fact that the reticle is black if the batteries are dead is a huge plus. I highly recommend this optic and as always, there's no better place to buy than EuroOptic.

all of my scopes are vortex...this one is another great one preforms as expected...mounted all the back on the rail to achieve proper eye relief...I really like the 5x mag...came packaged new and properly shipped to avoid damage one minor issue when i was mounting it, noticed one of the screws that attaches the scope mount to the rail would not snug down tight...i just swapped it out for the screw on the low mount that also came with it (that i wasn't using) and problem solved shipping was lightning fast as usual with Eurooptic...you guys rock!
