I'm only giving this 2 stars because of the motor. I was really excited knowing I was getting a good motor combo from Tekin. I just purchased a new Mp10E and went straight with this motor combo. I got it delivered the beginning of August and the motor and ESC was running just fine. The motor is built very good, strong and smooth. 09/19/2020 I went off a very small double and the ESC decided to say goodbye. It wasn't even one of those where you can hear the car bottom out. Im talking a small tap on the jump. The ESC's internals went out. No throttle response. Led codes 1,2 & 6,7 (Last two) I will not be buying another ESC and maybe even motor in the future. Just got a Hobbywing XR8 and the way its built is a much better quality then this plastic casing.

The RX8 esc is known for being fast, but somewhat fragile. Tekin is mostly well respected and an American company. The motor is pretty much perfect.

This is the most expensive brushless system I've ever purchased. However, it's for my Arrma Typhon TLR tuned buggy. It's what all the E-buggy racers use and recommend. I can see why. The system installed easily and was easy to setup. Here's a tip, don't be in a rush to solder it all up. Spend the time and tin your wires and solder posts on the ESC before the final solder connection. Have a good soldering iron or soldering station. I'd also get some extra 12ga wire, because Tekin really doesn't give you enough to finish the job. (One star removed) There are settings you can adjust. However, you will need to spend more money on the Tekin Hotwire to take full advantage of what this ESC offers. (Another $60 or so for the gen3 with bluetooth) I'd also like to note that I don't like the wired on off switch coming out of the ESC. With all the tech in this ESC they could have made it like a LRP style AI or incorporate the on/off button on the ESC. Other than the switch and lack of additional wire, the ESC works as it should. This bundle also includes the sensor wire for the motor.
The strong 1900kv sensored motor is a 5mm shaft so keep that in mind if you're looking for pinions. Again, tin the solder joints on the motor before final connection. Overall, the system is nice and works great! I'm glad I decided to pony up the extra coin for this setup.

Easy to get set up, very smooth and easy to drive. The many settings make it easy to customize to your own habits and preferences. I can't find any fault with this ESC or motor, other than I wish the white plastic housing was black. Is that a realistic complaint? Not really. That's how good this combo is. Just buy it.

Tekin has always been good and reliable to me.. Customer service is top notch in my opinion.. Power on demand and tuning for days and days.. I run the 1900 combo in my buggies all day long. Tough and reliable no problems what so ever... Other then that tekin is the way to go for me..

I installed the ESC and motor combo on my brand new Mugen Seiki MBX8E. I was setting the steering servo, and trim for the reverse throtle and all of a sudden the ESC started giving me an error code. I emailed Tekin and had to ship it both the ESC and motor to them. Waiting on their answer. Although I understand that electronic components aren't always perfect I'm frustrated that I couldn't even do 1 lap with the buggy. So far not very happy with the situation.

Awesome buy for my new Mugen seiki Kit. Couldn’t have made a better choice. GEN3 Esc performs very well. Easy and hobbyist friendly. Their settings modes could have been easier to access just follow the direction promptly. Looking for the best throttling and breaking Esc GEN3 is the best.
