Good Casual running Shoes
The price to quality ratio is more than fair. I usually go trail running in terrains with a lot of loose rocks/brush. It handles mud and loose ground fairly well. The stock laces slip so make sure to double knot or replace them. I wish it had just a little bit more ankle support, but I have not had any incidents relating to that. The hard toe is a huge plus, especially if you are running anywhere with a lot of roots and rocks coming out of the ground; it absorbs those kind of impacts well. After a few months of weekly use, it still maintains a fresh/new look which is nice.

Pretty Decent Trail Running Shoes

Out of the box, these were one of the more comfortable trail runners. They have average to good traction from the tread in dirt/sand/mud/snow/rock, quick drying time, great arch support, and are pretty light weight. The shoes tend to be a bit narrow which ultimately turned me away from them; I wish they had a wider foot box/forefoot. The mesh uppers let in a significant amount of dirt/sand. The cushioning, while initially comfortable, breaks down quickly. I found that it was very comfortable to 100 miles, average to 300 miles, than a little worse until the cushioning fully broke down between 400-450 miles but YMMV.

Ok initially but tearing up now
Had them now for 6 months. Loved them initially but the top is tearing up now. Not sure I would spend the money again if they won’t last long enough.

Excellent for hiking!
I replaced my hiking shoes with these and backpacked 50 miles. These shoes worked extremely well. I road run in Brooks already, so I’m not surprised but extremely happy with the support of this trail shoe over rocks and roots.

Great for chasing Odonata
I use these for hiking trails and off-trail pursuit of dragonflies. They have improved my energy level and give a sure-footed feeling.

Holes on top not good for sandy trails
My husband likes these shoes for hikes. They were very comfortable. However in the Utah desert some trails were really sandy (Escalante) and he got a ton of sand in his shoes from the holes on the top of this shoe.

Great support, roomy toe box.
I wear a 15 and custom orthodics for arch support/bunions. I am 220 lbs and not a soft or graceful walker. These have great support, big enough toe box. I use for gravel/hiking/trail running. Not enough support for rock gardens but A++ everywhere else.

Nice fit, ugly color for wide size. Fluorescent yellow, black, red and grey...yuck.
I'm glad these come in wide, but why do shoe manufacturers always seem to make the wide size in the ugliest color combo?

Love everything about this shoe! These were my first pair of Brooks and the comfort is off the charts!! Not a fan of the silver but the black raven looks fantastic!! I’m not a runner, I do hike in them, mostly to maintain mountain bike trails and these feel very secure, stable and handle everything I throw at them. They are equally as comfortable for work and day to day use so I bought a 2nd pair. Huge fan!
